When you open Todoist, make sure you see the tasks that are most important to you by setting your Home view. 
The default Home view is your Today view, but you can change it to whatever you'd like:

<li>Click Settings.</li>
<li>Open the General tab.</li>
<li>Open the Home view drop-down menu.</li>
<li>Select your new Home view.
